NOT SUITABLE FOR​

With TYPE 2 Diabetes OR Diabetic Ketoacidosis:

GLP-1 medication is not recommended for Type 1 Diabetes, specifically, if you are prescribed Insulin because the combination may increase your risk of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).

With History of Pancreatitis:

There have been cases of pancreatitis in patients taking GLP-1 Injection, so if you’ve had pancreatitis in the past, this medication might not be right for you

With history of MEDULLARY THYROID CARCINOMA (MC) or MULTIPLE ENDOCRINE NEOPLASIA SYNDROME TYPE 2 (MENS 2):

As it is associated with an increased risk of thyroid-C cell tumors in individuals with a personal or family history of MTC.

Severe Gastrointestinal Disease:

For individual with preexisting severe gastroparesis or IBD side effects can worsen.

Pregnant Woman:

GLP-1 medication is contraindicated for use during pregnancy to avoid any potential risks to the developing baby. If you're pregnant or planning to become pregnant, consult your healthcare provider before starting GLP-1.

Common Side Effects:

Dry mouth, discomfort at the injection site, tiredness, headache, neck pain, and eye issues like double vision or drooping eyelids may occur.
